
Tarah Osborn
Lead Instructor - Virtual Academy
Tarah Osborn is a seasoned special educator with more than ten years of experience supporting students with disabilities in building independence, confidence, self-advocacy, and career readiness skills. Over the course of her career, she has served as both a special education teacher and a behavior specialist, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies and a Master of Arts in Multi Categorical Special Education from West Virginia University. Tarah holds certifications in Exceptional Student Education (K–12), English/Language Arts (6–12), and Gifted Education (K–12), along with Clinical Educator credentials.
In her current role as Lead Instructor for the Virtual Academy, Tarah provides specialized instruction in reading, math, self-determination, self-advocacy, and career readiness. She also helps parents and families understand Individualized Education Plans so they can better advocate for their students and collaborate effectively with school teams. Her expertise in co teaching, small group instruction, and behavior intervention combined with her use of the Universal Design for Learning framework ensures that each student has access to engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
Recognized as Teacher of the Year and honored for achieving Highest Gains in Reading and Math, Tarah is an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children, the National Association of Special Education Teachers, and the Florida Association for the Gifted. Guided by compassion, creativity, and a deep belief in every child’s potential, she helps students discover their strengths and move forward with confidence. Her leadership, professionalism, and student-centered approach make her a highly valued member of the 4 The Future Instructional Team.
